The Marshall Liberal Government is delivering a $32 million stimulus package to fast track priority maintenance work in government schools and preschools across SA.

The following five local schools will receive a combined $1.66 million for maintenance and upgrade projects:

  • St Agnes Primary School - $250,000
  • Tea Tree Gully Primary School - $260,000
  • Kersbrook Primary School - $280,000
  • Modbury Special School - $350,000
  • Modbury High School - $520,000

Additionally, every preschool in SA will receive a $20,000 grant to undertake maintenance works that may include painting, flooring, landscaping, kitchen upgrades, storage replacement, or shade structures.

This additional funding will not only boost the capacity of schools and preschools to undertake the maintenance work that they need, it will also provide a boost for local jobs businesses and tradespeople as they are engaged to carry out the work.

I was delighted to visit St Agnes Primary School and Preschool last week with the Minister for Education, the Hon John Gardner MP, to hear about the plans that Sandee and her team have for the boosted maintenance funding and I’m looking forward to seeing the finished works soon!
