Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic so far, South Australians have been diligent in following the advice of our public health experts and working together, resulting in the limited number of cases in SA.

Unfortunately, the speed at which COVID-19 can spread and the devastating effect it can have should not be underestimated. I'm sure you are aware of the developing situation in Victoria, which we need to ensure does not happen in SA.

In order to keep South Australians safe, new restrictions on residential private gatherings and the service of food and drinks have been introduced.

We know that the restrictions are tough, especially for local businesses - and we don't want to keep them in place for a second longer than necessary. It's critical, however, that we all continue to act responsibly to keep our community safe.

South Australians should be proud of the way our community has worked together during these tough times, and I have no doubt that the support and care we've all shown one another will continue.

If you any cold or flu symptoms, there are a number of testing facilities you can visit, so please make sure you get tested.

Thank you for your efforts to keep our community safe so far. If we all play our part we will get through this together, stronger than ever.
